Shorex is proud to announce the launch of the website "Shorex Moscow Awards" at www.shorexmoscow.com. Visitors to www.shorexmoscow.com can see full product information including a detailed description of the Awards.
Following the success of “The Most Extravagant Russian Business Woman Award”, in October 2008, Shorex is staging the Award again and launching “The Most Charitable Russian Businessman Award” at the Ritz Carlton, Moscow, on 22nd November 2010.
“The Most Extravagant Russian Businesswoman Award” is the premier event in Russia dedicated to recognising and celebrating the extravagance of business women in Russia’s thriving economy. 250 high profile business women coming from all industry sectors are expected to compete for the coveted first prize, making the total number of guests 400 including applicants, journalists, friends and family.
“The Most Charitable Russian Businessman Award” is set to assess philanthropic contributions of the Russian business community and recognise the most giving of its members. In today’s economic climate it is even more important to encourage people to contribute to charities and to emphasise the importance of philanthropy. Most charities have seen a considerable drop in the level of donations and are preparing for difficult times ahead. By creating a high profile Award, the organisers of Shorex are sending a very strong message to the Russian business elite to continue their charitable projects. The Award will attract over 350 nominees together with their families and friends.

After 8 successful years at the President Wilson Hotel, The Shorex Wealth Management Forum Geneva is moving this year to The Bâtiment des Forces Motrices.
The move marks the expansion of the Forum, which since 2005 has become Europe’s largest B2B wealth management event. The new venue is a landmark in Geneva for the private banking sector. Situated right in the centre of Geneva, the Bâtiment des Forces Motrices hosts annual events for a number of leading financial institutions. Historically, BTM opened in 1886 as a hydraulic power station. Over a century later, this stunning construction was transformed into a conference centre and exhibition hall and opened in 1997. This year, Shorex Geneva will take place on 19th-20th October.
After Geneva, the next destination on Shorex’s agenda is Zurich. The Forum in Zurich will launch this year as a one day event, following the same concept as tried and tested in Geneva. The venue is the SIX Swiss Exchange ConventionPoint, another landmark for the financial industry. Zurich is one of the world's largest financial centres. According to the Global Financial Centres Index 2009, Zurich is in 6th position only behind London, New York, Hong Kong, Singapore, Shenzhen and in front of Tokyo, Chicago, Geneva and Frankfurt. The city is home to a large number of financial institutions and banking giants. According to several surveys from 2006 to 2008, Zurich was named the city with the best quality of life in the world as well as the wealthiest. The Shorex Wealth Management Forum in Zurich is therefore set to gain momentum and will soon generate as much interest as its Geneva counterpart.
Geneva and Zurich are two key financial centres for asset managers wishing to increase their share of the HNWI market. The Shorex wealth management events are essentially a networking platform for asset managers interested in distributing their funds and investment vehicles through private banks, independent asset managers and family offices. In terms of fiduciary services including tax planning, trusts, foundations, and corporate structures, Geneva and Zurich are key centres of expertise and offer a world class range of services. Switzerland is the world’s leading private banking centre with over 3,000 independent asset management firms and 350 private banks based there. Independent asset managers are estimated to manage 15% of the private capital held in Switzerland’s banks. Since 2002, over 7,000 wealth management professionals have attended Shorex Geneva. With the launch of Zurich this year, the Shorex forums will cover the world’s largest wealth management market. For more information on either Shorex Zurich or Shorex Geneva.
